On an HP scanner, that is greyscale which is what SSP prefers. Again, ignore any reference to TWAIN drivers as they no longer apply to the Mac OS. Musitek should have fixed those instructions a decade ago. Ignore that nonsense as it doesn't apply to Macs capable of running OS 10.6 or later. Musitek's instructions talk about TWAIN drivers, incompatibilities with HP scanners and most all-in-ones. Once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy.Īlthough this is how it's supposed to work since OS 10.5, there were many problems that weren't fixed till 10.8.2 (I worked on this with Apple). Image Capture.app is what you are looking for. The ways built into the Mac OS are quite good. There are plenty of ways to acquire the scan. Even that doesn't do the actual scanning. Music-to-XML is the product that was to have been included with 25 but was dropped before release. Unlike Lite, SSP allows you to export as MusicXML In addition, it handles lyrics and a much greater range of expressions, bar line types etc. ![]() SSP was always an upgrade to the original SS Lite that was bundled w/ Finale. No lyrics, few bar lines, fewer expressions etc. SS Litte was extremely limited in functionality. tiff import is gone in 25 but you don't need it. Does SmartScore X2 Pro offer full scanning and editing capability? If purchasing SmartScore X2 Pro adds all of that functionality back into the software<</p>
